The New York Bred Yearlings sale concluded Monday evening on a high note as, for the fourth consecutive year, one yearling became the most expensive horse sold at this sale all time. In 2016, 2017, and 2018, that accomplishment went to a sale-topping colt. In 2019, a filly reigned supreme among the Empire State-breds on offer.
The 99th Saratoga Sale ended Tuesday night on a high note, establishing new sale records in average and median. The band of selected yearlings sold on Monday and Tuesday nights were led by a pair of colts by two-time Horse of the Year Curlin which topped the sale when sold Tuesday for $1,500,000 each.
