SYDNEY (April 7, 2018) – Michael Thomas’s homebred 7-year-old gelding Happy Clapper surged along the rail in the last 300 meters to win Saturday’s 153rd running of the Group 1 $3 million Star Doncaster Mile (G1) by two lengths over Comin’ Through (AUS) at Royal Randwick in Australia and became the second horse this year to earn an automatic berth into the Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1) through the international Breeders’ Cup Challenge.
