A week ago there was a sense of anticipation at Cambridge Stud with our European champions Almanzor and Roaring Lion arriving last Saturday morning. Unfortunately their arrival has been overshadowed by a sudden and acute colic episode that struck Roaring Lion shortly after his arrival from quarantine.
Cambridge Stud sire Tavistock was the star of the show on Saturday, with his progeny Travimyfriend, Tavirun and Bedford all successful at Caulfield, while his six-year-old son, Curragh, was a winner in Sydney.
Tavistock’s 4YO son Greycliffe pointed to brighter things ahead with a smart win over 2100m at Ballarat last weekend.

Cambridge based mare New York Minute (Iffraaj[GB]-Zenno Queen) showed black type ability at her second only start as a three-year-old, however it was not until the closing stages of her five-year-old season that she managed to score her first black type win.
